The RydeHub website sets no cookies at all. There is no sign-in on this website, and we do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking. Your light/dark theme preference is saved in your browser's local storage, which is not a cookie and never leaves your device.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember basic choices, and keep sessions secure.
Cookies can be:
- Session cookies: temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser
- Persistent cookies: cookies that remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them
- First-party cookies: set by RydeHub directly
- Third-party cookies: set by a different company whose content is embedded in the page you are visiting
Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. We use browser local storage to remember basic preferences such as your light/dark theme. This is stored on your device and is not a cookie. This policy covers cookies and similar technologies used on the RydeHub website.
This Cookie Policy applies to our website only, not to the RydeHub mobile app. See Section 4 for information about the mobile app, and our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information generally.
2. Cookies We Use
The RydeHub website does not set any cookies. None for sign-in, none for analytics, none for advertising, and none for tracking. There is nothing here for you to accept, refuse, or clear.
Preferences (local storage, not a cookie) · On your device If you switch the site between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the keytheme. The stored value is the single wordlightordarkand nothing else. It is written only when you use the toggle, it stays on your device, and it is never sent to us.
Analytics & Advertising Cookies · Not used We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any cookies that track you across other websites. If we ever introduce privacy-respecting analytics, we will update this policy before we do.
3. Third-Party Services
This website loads everything it needs from our own servers. Fonts are served by us rather than fetched from another company, and there are no analytics tags, advertising tags, social media embeds, chat widgets, or third-party scripts of any kind. No other company is in a position to set or read a cookie when you visit this website.
If that ever changes, for example if we add a bot-protection check to the waitlist form, we will name the provider here and describe what it stores before the change goes live.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, analytics cookies, or any cookies that track you across other websites.
4. Cookies & the Mobile App
The RydeHub mobile app (iOS and Android) does not use browser cookies. The app uses the following technologies for equivalent purposes:
- Secure local storage: used to store your authentication token so you stay logged in between app sessions
- Push notification tokens: used to send you ride confirmations, driver/host arrival notifications, and other service alerts
The RydeHub apps declare no tracking under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, and do not use advertising identifiers or track you across other companies' apps and websites.
For full details on data collection in the mobile app, see our Privacy Policy.
5. How to Control Cookies
You have several options for controlling cookies:
Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:
- View which cookies have been set
- Block all cookies
- Block third-party cookies only
- Delete cookies when you close your browser
- Allow cookies from specific sites only
Browser-specific instructions:
Consequences of Disabling Cookies
Because this website sets no cookies, blocking or clearing them will not affect it in any way. Clearing your browser's local storage will reset your theme preference, so the site will go back to following your system setting.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers include a Do Not Track (DNT) setting that signals to websites that you do not want to be tracked. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals.
RydeHub does not engage in cross-site behavioural tracking and does not use analytics or advertising cookies, so there is no cross-site tracking for a DNT signal to disable.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our cookie usage or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by notice on the website. Your continued use of the RydeHub website after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
