These are the terms under which you drive with RydeHub. You are an independent contractor, not a RydeHub employee. You set your own hours and are responsible for your vehicle, insurance, and compliance with Saskatchewan's Vehicles for Hire Act. Our Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy are part of these Terms. Please read Sections 2 (contractor status), 7 (insurance), 11 (earnings), and 21 (deactivation) carefully. Sharing intercity Out-of-Town trips as a host is a separate, non-commercial activity governed by the OOT Host Terms (Section 10).
1. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a driver application, completing the onboarding process, or operating as a driver on the RydeHub platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Driver Terms of Service ("Driver Terms"), the Rider Terms of Use, our Community Guidelines, and our Privacy Policy, each of which is incorporated into these Driver Terms by reference. These Driver Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and RydeHub Inc. ("RydeHub," "we," "our," or "us").
If you do not agree with any part of these Driver Terms, you must not apply to or operate as a driver on the RydeHub platform.
In the event of a conflict between these Driver Terms and the Rider Terms of Use, these Driver Terms prevail with respect to your role as a driver. If you also share intercity Out-of-Town (OOT) trips as a host, that activity is a separate, non-commercial cost-sharing activity governed by the OOT Host Terms, not these Driver Terms (see Section 10).
2. Independent Contractor Status
You are an independent contractor, not a RydeHub employee. These Driver Terms create an independent contractor relationship between you and RydeHub. Nothing in these Driver Terms creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, agency, or franchise relationship between you and RydeHub.
As an independent contractor, you:
- Set your own hours and choose when to be available on the platform
- Are free to use other transportation network companies simultaneously
- Are responsible for all costs of operating your vehicle, including fuel, maintenance, insurance, and depreciation
- Are responsible for all applicable federal and provincial taxes on your earnings, including income tax and GST/HST
- Are not entitled to employment benefits, workers' compensation (except as provided by applicable law), or any other employee entitlements
- Are responsible for obtaining and maintaining your own insurance
RydeHub does not direct or control the manner in which you provide rides. RydeHub provides the technology platform and sets certain minimum standards required to maintain public safety and platform integrity.
2.1 GST/HST Registration
As an independent contractor earning income, you are required to register for a GST/HST number with the Canada Revenue Agency once your annual revenues exceed the applicable threshold, or sooner if required by law. You are solely responsible for collecting, remitting, and reporting GST/HST on your earnings as required by the Excise Tax Act (Canada).
3. Driver Eligibility Requirements
To drive with RydeHub in Saskatchewan, you must:
- Be at least 21 years old (the SGI rideshare insurance minimum)
- Hold a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 (or Class 1–4) driver's licence, or an equivalent out-of-province licence recognized by SGI
- Have a minimum of 2 years of licensed driving experience (out-of-province history accepted)
- Have the legal right to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit)
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) for tax purposes
- Have a Canadian bank account capable of receiving electronic deposits
- Maintain a valid Canadian phone number capable of running the RydeHub Driver app
- Not have been convicted of any disqualifying criminal offences (as determined by RydeHub at its sole discretion)
- Not be subject to any driving prohibition or licence suspension
RydeHub reserves the right to set additional eligibility requirements at any time. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee approval or continued access to the platform.
4. Vehicle Requirements
Your vehicle must meet all of the following requirements to be approved on the RydeHub platform:
- Model year within the last 10 years (maximum 10 years old at time of application)
- At least 4 doors
- At least 5 seatbelts (driver + 4 passengers)
- In good mechanical condition with all safety systems functioning
- No salvage title, rebuilt title, or structural damage history
- Not a taxi, limousine, ambulance, emergency vehicle, or rental vehicle
- Registered and insured in Saskatchewan
- Free of cosmetic damage that a reasonable passenger would find unsafe or unacceptable
RydeHub may require photos of your vehicle at the time of application and during periodic audits. Vehicle requirements may change; you will be notified of changes that affect your existing vehicle.
5. Required Documents
Before your first trip, you must upload and maintain current copies of the following documents:
- Valid driver's licence (front and back)
- Vehicle registration
- Proof of automobile insurance (see Section 7)
- SGI Light Vehicle Inspection Certificate (annual)
- Criminal Record Check: obtained within the past 6 months, with purpose: Rideshare and requesting agency: RydeHub
- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC): obtained within the past 6 months from your local police service
- Proof of right to work in Canada
- Recent driver's abstract (3-year or 5-year) from SGI or your provincial licensing authority
You are responsible for keeping all documents current and uploading renewals before expiry. Driving on the platform with expired documents is a breach of these Driver Terms and may result in immediate deactivation.
5.1 RydeHub Vehicle Decal
Approved drivers must display a RydeHub-issued vehicle decal in the front and rear windshield while actively driving on the platform. Decals must not be altered, defaced, or obscured. Upon deactivation, decals must be removed.
6. Background Checks
6.1 Authorization
By applying to drive with RydeHub, you authorize RydeHub and its designated third-party background check providers to obtain your criminal record history, driving abstract, and any other records permitted by applicable law. This authorization continues throughout your time on the platform for periodic re-screening.
6.2 Ongoing Monitoring
RydeHub may conduct background check rescreens periodically or at any time. A new disqualifying result discovered after initial approval may result in account suspension or deactivation.
6.3 Disqualifying Offences & Disputes
Certain criminal convictions and driving history events will disqualify you from driving with RydeHub. RydeHub will evaluate each background check result at its sole discretion. If you believe a background check result is inaccurate, you may dispute its accuracy directly with the screening provider, as permitted by applicable law. A deactivation based on conduct or ratings is otherwise subject to the review process described in our Community Guidelines.
7. Insurance Requirements
Insurance is your responsibility. Do not drive without it.
7.1 SGI Rideshare Endorsement
Under The Vehicles for Hire Act (Saskatchewan), all drivers providing on-demand rides must have the SGI rideshare indicator added to their vehicle's SGI registration. You are responsible for obtaining this endorsement before your first trip and maintaining it throughout your time on the platform.
7.2 Personal Auto Policy
Your personal automobile insurance policy must permit rideshare activity, or you must have a separate commercial auto policy. You are advised to contact your insurer or broker to confirm your coverage. RydeHub strongly recommends working with an SGI-approved insurer familiar with rideshare endorsements.
7.3 No RydeHub Insurance
RydeHub does not provide, arrange, procure, or guarantee any automobile insurance coverage for you, your vehicle, your passengers, or third parties. Any insurance coverage gaps are your sole responsibility.
7.4 Proof of Insurance
You must carry proof of insurance in your vehicle at all times and produce it upon request to a passenger, law enforcement, or RydeHub. Failure to maintain adequate insurance is grounds for immediate account deactivation.
8. Onboarding & Approval
Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. RydeHub will review your application, documents, background check, and driving abstract. We will notify you of our decision within 2–5 business days of receiving all required documents.
Approval is valid only for the specific vehicle listed in your application. A new vehicle must be submitted for approval before use on the platform. RydeHub may require an in-person or remote vehicle inspection.
Upon approval, you will receive access to the RydeHub Driver app. You are responsible for completing all in-app orientation materials before accepting your first trip.
9. On-Demand Rides
9.1 Going Online
You may go online (make yourself available for ride requests) at any time, in any supported city, subject to platform availability. There are no minimum hours or trip requirements.
9.2 Accepting Ride Requests
You may accept or decline any ride request without penalty. However, consistent patterns of declining requests while appearing available online may be reviewed by RydeHub as an indicator of selective acceptance, which violates our anti-discrimination policy.
9.3 During the Trip
You must:
- Drive safely and in compliance with all Saskatchewan traffic laws
- Not use your phone handheld while driving
- Not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs your ability to drive safely
- Ensure every passenger is seated with a seatbelt fastened before moving
- Transport passengers directly to their stated destination via an efficient route
- Not solicit or accept cash or any payment outside the RydeHub platform
- Not transport more passengers than there are seatbelts in your vehicle
9.4 Completing the Trip
You must mark the trip as complete in the app only after the passenger has been safely delivered to the destination. Do not mark trips complete prematurely.
10. Out-of-Town (OOT) Hosting
OOT hosting is a separate, non-commercial activity, governed by the OOT Host Terms, not these Driver Terms.
RydeHub's intercity service is Out-of-Town (OOT) cost-sharing: a host shares a journey they are already making and riders contribute toward the host's reasonable costs (fuel, tolls, wear), not toward any profit. OOT hosting is open to RydeHub users generally and is not part of your commercial driver relationship under these Driver Terms.
If you choose to host OOT trips, that activity is governed by the separate OOT Host Terms. As an OOT host you may not profit from any trip, you must post only genuine trips you intend to make, and you are responsible for confirming with your insurer that your personal automobile policy covers cost-sharing passengers. The SGI rideshare endorsement required for on-demand driving (Section 7.1) is not required for genuine Out-of-Town cost-sharing trips, provided you comply with the OOT Host Terms.
11. Earnings, Fees & Payouts
11.1 Driver Earnings
You earn a percentage of each fare as described in the RydeHub Driver Earnings Schedule, which is available in your driver app and may be updated from time to time with notice. RydeHub deducts a platform service fee from each fare before calculating your earnings.
11.2 Payout Schedule
Earnings are transferred to your registered Canadian bank account on a weekly basis, subject to a clearing period. RydeHub is not responsible for delays caused by your financial institution. You must maintain a valid Canadian bank account on file; failure to do so may result in forfeiture of accumulated earnings after 365 days of inactivity.
11.3 Platform Service Fee
RydeHub deducts a platform service fee from each fare. The fee percentage is displayed in your driver app and may change with advance notice. No deductions are made from passenger tips. 100% of any tip is passed to you.
11.4 Tax Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for all applicable taxes on your RydeHub earnings, including federal and provincial income tax and applicable GST/HST. RydeHub will provide you with annual earnings summaries to assist with tax filing. RydeHub does not withhold taxes from your payments.
11.5 Withholding Payouts
RydeHub may withhold or reverse payouts in cases of suspected fraud, active safety investigations, passenger disputes, document non-compliance, or violation of these Driver Terms. RydeHub will notify you of any withheld payout and the reason.
12. Cancellation Policy
12.1 On-Demand Rides
You may cancel an accepted ride request before arriving at the pickup location. Repeated cancellations of accepted ride requests, particularly after keeping passengers waiting, may result in reduced access to the platform or account review.
12.2 Out-of-Town Trips
Cancellations and no-shows for Out-of-Town trips you host are governed by the OOT Host Terms, not this section. In summary, cancelling a confirmed OOT trip leaves riders stranded and harms the community; repeated cancellations or no-shows can lead to suspension.
13. Ratings & Deactivation Threshold
After each trip, passengers will have the opportunity to rate their experience on a 1–5 star scale. Ratings reflect the quality of your service, vehicle, and conduct.
If your average rating falls below a threshold set by RydeHub (displayed in your driver app), you will receive a warning and guidance on improvement. Continued low ratings below the threshold may result in temporary suspension or permanent deactivation.
RydeHub may remove individual ratings that it determines in its sole discretion were submitted in bad faith, fraudulently, or in violation of platform policies.
14. Code of Conduct
These standards supplement our Community Guidelines, which are incorporated into these Driver Terms. As a RydeHub driver, you represent RydeHub in the community and must:
- Maintain a clean, odour-free vehicle interior and exterior at all times
- Greet passengers professionally and politely
- Keep the interior temperature comfortable for passengers
- Not smoke, vape, or use any tobacco product in your vehicle
- Not play music at a volume that passengers find uncomfortable, unless invited to do so
- Respect passengers' preferences for conversation or silence during the trip
- Not bring pets into the vehicle during trips unless the pet belongs to a passenger
- Display your RydeHub decal visibly in the front and rear windshield while on the platform
- Accept service animals without restriction, in compliance with Saskatchewan's Guide Dog Act and applicable accessibility legislation
- Assist passengers with mobility aids and disabilities to the best of your ability
15. Prohibited Conduct
You may NOT:
- Operate a vehicle while impaired by alcohol, drugs, cannabis, prescription medication, or any other substance
- Use a handheld mobile device while driving
- Threaten, harass, intimidate, or abuse any passenger, other driver, or RydeHub employee
- Discriminate against any passenger on any ground protected by the Canadian Human Rights Act, The Saskatchewan Human Rights Code, or applicable legislation, including refusing rides to passengers with disabilities, service animals, or mobility aids
- Engage in or facilitate sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, or any form of sexual assault
- Record passengers using audio or video without their prior informed consent, except as required by law
- Solicit or accept cash or any off-platform payment from passengers
- Operate the platform on behalf of another person or allow another person to use your account
- Transport a passenger to a different destination than the one displayed in the app without the passenger's express consent
- Carry weapons, controlled substances, or illegal items in your vehicle
- Submit false trip data, manipulate GPS, or otherwise commit fraud against RydeHub or passengers
- Provide rides to unaccompanied minors under 18 years of age
- Use the RydeHub platform for any purpose other than providing approved transportation services
16. Safety & Incident Reporting
16.1 Emergency Services
For any life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately. Do not rely on the RydeHub app as a substitute for emergency services.
16.2 Incident Reporting
You must report any accident, safety incident, passenger complaint, or criminal act through the RydeHub app or by emailing safety@rydehub.com within 24 hours. Failure to report incidents may constitute a breach of these Driver Terms.
16.3 Cooperation
You agree to fully cooperate with any RydeHub safety investigation, including providing statements, photographs, and relevant documentation. You also agree to cooperate with law enforcement when required. RydeHub may suspend your account pending the outcome of a safety investigation.
16.4 Vehicle Safety
You must not operate a vehicle that you know or reasonably should know is unsafe. If your vehicle becomes unsafe during a trip, including warning lights, mechanical failure, or tyre issues, you must safely pull over, ensure passenger safety, and contact RydeHub support.
17. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, software, and technology comprising the RydeHub platform are owned by or licensed to RydeHub Inc. Your limited licence to use the driver app is personal, non-transferable, and revocable upon deactivation.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any RydeHub intellectual property without our express prior written consent.
17.1 RydeHub Decal
RydeHub grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to display the RydeHub decal on your approved vehicle solely while actively providing services on the platform. This licence automatically terminates upon account deactivation. You must promptly remove the decal upon deactivation. The decal remains the property of RydeHub and must be returned or destroyed upon request.
18. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW, RYDEHUB PROVIDES THE DRIVER PLATFORM AND ALL SERVICES "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
RYDEHUB DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:
- Ride requests will be available at all times or in all locations

19. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW, RYDEHUB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE DRIVER TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.
RYDEHUB'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL PLATFORM SERVICE FEES RYDEHUB HAS COLLECTED FROM YOUR FARES IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Nothing in these Driver Terms limits RydeHub's liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Canadian law.
20. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RydeHub Inc., its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your operation of a vehicle while using the RydeHub platform
- Your violation of these Driver Terms or any applicable law
- Your negligence or wilful misconduct in connection with any trip
- Any accident, injury, or property damage caused by you while on the platform
- Any failure to maintain required insurance, licences, or vehicle standards
- Any passenger complaint, dispute, or claim arising from your conduct
21. Deactivation & Termination
21.1 Voluntary Deactivation
You may deactivate your driver account at any time through the app or by contacting support@rydehub.com. Deactivation does not affect outstanding earnings due for completed trips.
21.2 Deactivation by RydeHub
RydeHub may temporarily suspend or permanently deactivate your driver account at any time, with or without notice, including for:
- Violation of these Driver Terms, our Community Guidelines, or platform policies
- Safety incidents or complaints
- Low driver ratings below the deactivation threshold
- Expiry or invalidation of required documents (licence, insurance, VSC, inspection certificate)
- Disqualifying results on a background check rescreen
- Fraudulent activity or misrepresentation
- Behaviour that harms the RydeHub community or brand
- Any requirement of applicable law
21.3 Effect of Deactivation
Upon deactivation, your right to access the platform and accept rides ceases immediately. You must remove the RydeHub decal from your vehicle. Sections 2, 11.4, 17, 19, 20, 22, 23, and 24 survive deactivation.
21.4 Re-Application
Re-application after deactivation is not guaranteed and is subject to RydeHub's sole discretion. Deactivated drivers who meet eligibility requirements and have resolved the cause of deactivation may apply for reinstatement by contacting support@rydehub.com.
22. Privacy
Your use of the RydeHub platform as a driver is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Driver Terms by reference. As a driver, we collect additional categories of personal information compared to riders, including your licence, driving abstract, VSC, income data, and real-time GPS location during trips. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully.
RydeHub's collection and use of your personal information is governed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), SC 2000, c. 5, and applicable provincial privacy legislation.
23. Governing Law
These Driver Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the applicable federal laws of Canada. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
24. Dispute Resolution
24.1 Informal Resolution
Before commencing formal legal action, you agree to first contact RydeHub at legal@rydehub.com with a written description of your dispute. RydeHub will use reasonable efforts to respond and attempt resolution within 30 calendar days.
24.2 Jurisdiction
Any unresolved dispute arising out of or related to these Driver Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada.
24.3 Claims of Sexual Assault or Harassment

25. Changes to These Terms
RydeHub may modify these Driver Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification and email at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not accept changes, you must deactivate your account before the effective date.
