RydeHub is a technology platform that connects riders with independent drivers and trip hosts in Saskatchewan. We run the app. Drivers and hosts provide the rides. These Terms govern your use of RydeHub and apply to both service types: on-demand city rides, and intercity Out-of-Town (OOT) cost-sharing trips. Our Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy are part of these Terms. Please read Sections 6 (OOT trips), 8 (cancellations), and 14 (our liability limits) carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating a RydeHub account or using any RydeHub service, including browsing our website, requesting a ride, or booking an Out-of-Town trip, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines, each of which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and RydeHub Inc. ("RydeHub," "we," "our," or "us").
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately stop using the RydeHub platform and delete your account.
These Terms apply to all users of the RydeHub platform, including riders and passengers on Out-of-Town trips. If you offer an Out-of-Town trip as a host, that activity is also governed by the separate OOT Host Terms.
2. Description of Service
RydeHub operates a technology marketplace that connects riders ("Riders") with independent drivers ("Drivers") and trip hosts ("Hosts") for transportation in Saskatchewan, Canada.
RydeHub is NOT a transportation company, common carrier, or public carrier. We do not provide transportation services directly. All transportation is provided by Drivers and Hosts who are independent of RydeHub, not employees, agents, or partners of RydeHub. RydeHub does not direct or control the manner in which Drivers or Hosts provide transportation.
Our platform currently supports two service types:
- On-Demand Rides: Real-time ride matching with independent Drivers in supported Saskatchewan cities, including rides scheduled in advance
- Out-of-Town (OOT) Trips: Intercity cost-sharing trips where a Host shares a journey they are already making and Riders contribute toward the Host's costs, governed by Section 6 (and, for Hosts, the OOT Host Terms)
RydeHub reserves the right to add, modify, or discontinue any service type at any time without prior notice.
3. Eligibility
To use RydeHub as a Rider, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a valid Canadian mobile phone number capable of receiving SMS verification
- Have a valid payment method (credit or debit card) accepted by our payment processor
- Have the legal right to enter into binding contracts in your jurisdiction
- Not have been previously banned or suspended from the RydeHub platform
- Not be prohibited from using the service under applicable Canadian law
One account per person is permitted. You may not create an account on behalf of another person, allow others to use your account, or transfer your account to anyone else.
RydeHub reserves the right to verify your eligibility at any time and to decline, suspend, or terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.
4. Account Registration
4.1 Account Creation
You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating your account, including your legal name, email address, phone number, and payment details. RydeHub may require identity verification at any time, including government-issued photo ID, selfie verification, or additional phone number verification.
4.2 Account Security
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to notify RydeHub immediately at support@rydehub.com if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach. RydeHub is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized account use that occurred before you notified us.
4.3 Account Accuracy
You agree to keep your account information current and accurate at all times. Providing false, outdated, or misleading information is a breach of these Terms and may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
5. On-Demand Rides
5.1 How It Works
On-demand rides connect you with nearby available Drivers in real time. The RydeHub app matches you with a Driver based on your pickup location, destination, time of request, and Driver availability. RydeHub does not guarantee that a Driver will always be available to accept your request.
5.2 Pricing & Surge Fares
An upfront fare estimate is displayed in the app before you confirm your ride request. During periods of high demand, fares may increase ("surge pricing"). You will be clearly notified of any surge pricing before you confirm your request. Final fares may vary from the initial estimate if the route changes materially or if you request additional stops during the trip.
5.3 Wait Time
Drivers are required to wait a reasonable amount of time at the pickup location. Wait time fees may apply after a threshold set by RydeHub has passed. These fees are displayed in the app before your trip begins.
5.4 Changes During Trip
Additional stops or material route changes requested during your trip may affect the final fare and must be agreed to by your Driver. Drivers are not obligated to accommodate mid-trip route changes that they reasonably believe are unsafe or impractical.
6. Out-of-Town (OOT) Trips
Important Notice Out-of-Town trips are a peer-to-peer cost-sharing service. They are legally distinct from commercial transportation. Please read this section carefully before booking an OOT trip.
6.1 Nature of the Service
An Out-of-Town trip is an intercity journey that a Host is already making for their own purposes and chooses to share with Riders travelling the same way. The Host is a private individual, not a commercial driver. The contribution you pay goes solely toward offsetting the Host's reasonable vehicle costs for that trip (fuel, tolls, wear and tear), not to provide the Host with profit or income.
This service operates under cost-sharing principles consistent with Canadian transportation law and is not regulated as commercial transportation under The Vehicles for Hire Act (Saskatchewan).
6.2 Booking & Contributions
You book a seat on an OOT trip through the RydeHub platform. At booking you pay the Host's cost contribution plus a RydeHub service fee, both shown to you before you confirm. A booking is confirmed only after your payment has been successfully processed and you receive a confirmation in the app. Cancellations and refunds are governed by Section 8.
6.3 Insurance Notice
OOT trips on RydeHub's cost-sharing model are intended to be covered by the Host's existing personal automobile insurance. You are strongly advised to confirm with your own insurer whether your personal injury protection and accident benefits apply when travelling as a contributing passenger in a private vehicle.
RydeHub does not provide, arrange, or guarantee any insurance coverage for OOT trips. RydeHub assumes no liability for any insurance gaps, claim denials, or disputes between you and any insurer.
6.4 Eligibility to Ride
The minimum age for OOT passengers is 18 years old. You must hold a valid booking confirmation to board an OOT trip. Hosts are entitled to deny boarding to any passenger without a confirmed booking.
6.5 Hosting an OOT Trip
If you wish to offer an OOT trip as a Host, you must agree to and comply with the separate OOT Host Terms. Hosts share genuine, pre-planned trips on a cost-sharing basis and may not profit from any trip.
7. Fares, Fees & Payments
7.1 Currency
All transactions on RydeHub are conducted in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Displayed prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
7.2 Payment Processor
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. (PCI DSS Level 1 certified). By using RydeHub, you authorize Stripe to process your payments in accordance with Stripe's terms of service. RydeHub does not store your full card number. By providing your payment information, you authorize RydeHub to charge the applicable fare, fees, and any other charges to your payment method.
7.3 Service Fee
A platform service fee is added to each booking. This fee covers platform operations, payment processing, safety infrastructure, and customer support. The service fee is always displayed at the time of booking before you confirm.
7.4 Wallet
You may top up a RydeHub wallet balance and use it to pay for rides and trips. Wallet top-ups have a minimum of $5.00 CAD and a maximum of $500.00 CAD per transaction. Wallet funds are held in Canadian Dollars, are non-transferable, and are not redeemable for cash except where required by applicable law. Eligible refunds may be returned to your wallet. Top-ups are processed by Stripe.
7.5 Tips
Tips are optional and entirely at your discretion. 100% of any tip you leave is passed directly to the Driver or Host. Tips may be added through the app for a limited window after your trip is completed.
7.6 Damage Fee
If you cause damage to a Driver's or Host's vehicle, a damage assessment fee of up to $200 CAD may be charged to your payment method at RydeHub's sole discretion. RydeHub will notify you of the proposed charge before applying it and will provide you with 5 business days to dispute the assessment by contacting support@rydehub.com.
7.7 No Cash Payments
Cash payments are strictly prohibited on the RydeHub platform. All payments must be made through the app using a valid payment method. Drivers and Hosts are prohibited from requesting or accepting cash for RydeHub rides or trips. If a Driver or Host requests cash, please report it through the app.
7.8 Taxes
Applicable GST is included in or added to displayed fares as required under the Excise Tax Act (Canada) and applicable provincial tax legislation. You are responsible for any other taxes or duties imposed by your jurisdiction.
8. Cancellations & Refunds
8.1 On-Demand Rides
You may cancel an on-demand ride request before your Driver has been matched at no charge. After a Driver has been matched and accepted your request:
- Cancelled within 2 minutes of Driver acceptance: No charge
- Cancelled after 2 minutes but before pickup: A cancellation fee may apply as displayed in the app
8.2 Out-of-Town (OOT) Trips
- More than 24 hours before departure: Full refund of the cost contribution. The platform service fee is non-refundable.
- Less than 24 hours before departure: 50% of the cost contribution is refunded to you; the remaining 50% is paid to the Host toward committed trip costs. The platform service fee is non-refundable.
- After scheduled departure or no-show: No refund.
8.3 Driver or Host Cancellations
If a Driver or Host cancels a confirmed booking, for any service type, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid including the service fee, processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.
8.4 Dispute Window
You have 4 calendar days from the scheduled trip departure time to dispute a booking, cancellation, or payment. After this window closes, refunds will not be processed except in cases of confirmed Driver or Host fraud or platform error.
8.5 Refund Processing
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. Processing times are 5–10 business days depending on your financial institution.
9. Ratings & Reviews
After each completed trip, both you and your Driver or Host will have the opportunity to rate the experience on a 1–5 star scale. Ratings help maintain community standards and safety. You may also leave written feedback, which may be displayed publicly.
You agree not to submit false, retaliatory, or otherwise misleading ratings or reviews. Misuse of the ratings system, including rating manipulation, coordinating reviews with others, or submitting fake reports, is prohibited and may result in account suspension.
If your Rider rating falls below a threshold set by RydeHub, Drivers and Hosts may choose to decline your requests. A significantly low rating may result in account review or suspension.
RydeHub reserves the right to remove ratings or reviews that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
10. Prohibited Conduct
In addition to our Community Guidelines (which are incorporated into these Terms), you agree NOT to do any of the following while using the RydeHub platform:
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity
- Threaten, harass, stalk, intimidate, defame, or abuse any Driver, Host, other user, or RydeHub employee

- Travel as an unaccompanied minor under 18 years of age, or arrange for an unaccompanied minor to do so, without RydeHub's prior written permission

- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of any RydeHub software
- Create multiple accounts or assist another person in circumventing account restrictions or bans
- Record audio or video of Drivers or Hosts without their prior informed consent, except as permitted by applicable law
- File false or misleading safety reports or engage in abuse of RydeHub's reporting systems
- Engage in any form of sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, or sexual assault toward any Driver, Host, or other platform user
- Cause intentional damage to a Driver's or Host's vehicle, property, or personal belongings
- Resell, sublicense, or commercialize your access to the RydeHub platform without our express written consent
Violations of this section may result in immediate account suspension, permanent deactivation, and referral to law enforcement where appropriate.
11. Safety & Incident Reporting
11.1 Emergency Services
For any life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately. The RydeHub app includes an in-app emergency contact feature. However, this does not replace calling 911 and should not be relied upon as a primary emergency response.
11.2 Reporting Non-Emergency Incidents
Non-emergency safety incidents, policy violations, or concerns must be reported to RydeHub through the app's safety reporting feature or by emailing safety@rydehub.com within 24 hours of the incident.
11.3 Cooperation with Investigations
You agree to cooperate fully with any RydeHub safety investigation, including providing statements, photographs, and other documentation when reasonably requested. Failure to cooperate may affect our ability to resolve your concern and may result in account action.
11.4 Your Safety Responsibilities
You are responsible for your own safety. Before entering a vehicle, verify that the Driver's or Host's name, photo, and vehicle match the information displayed in the app. Do not get into a vehicle that does not match your booking. Share your trip status with a trusted contact using the app's share feature.

You represent that you have the right to grant this licence.

RydeHub may suspend your access or permanently deactivate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms or our Community Guidelines, safety concerns, fraudulent activity, non-payment, or at our sole discretion. RydeHub will use reasonable efforts to notify you by email prior to account termination except where doing so would compromise safety or an ongoing investigation.
16.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to access and use the platform ceases immediately. Outstanding charges remain due and payable. Sections 12 through 15, 17, 18, and 19 of these Terms survive termination.
